Q: How long are the plates, wide and especially long?

They are not that wide at all, I think about an inch. As far as the length, it's average length.

Q: Can you curl hair with this ?

This iron is absolute garbage.. it doesn't grip the hair at all to even smooth it. I threw it in the garage lol
