I never knew there was such a difference in hair dryers!! I always bought walmart/drug store dryers. Hated to spend this much money on a dryer I thought would be exactly the same as them. When I got this and turned it on--before ever putting it to my hair--I could feel the difference in the power and the way it ran in my hand!! It was wild! I even made my husband hold my old one and then this one and he could "feel" the difference!! It's a powerful machine!!! Just different. I love it! Definitely cut my drying time in half. I have long thick naturally curly hair that is frizzy of course. With this dryer almost all frizz is gone. For a long time I've tried to get my hair to feel like it does when I leave the salon. I could use the same products, etc. and it wouldn't. When my last dryer started failing, I thought that's the only thing I haven't tried yet. I have a babyliss flat iron that changed my world with straightening. So I read the reviews and I took a chance to see if this would do the same. It certainly has! It's the same brand my stylist uses but different model. It's wonderful! I've always had to look for a specific dryer that will dry my hair fast enough to help straighten it so I can have less use of the flat iron. And on every dryer I always have had to use the high setting. With this dryer high is almost too much! And i never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth! I can straighten my hair on low with this dryer! It has different heat settings. I've never used the high heat. Low heat is enough for me and a new that i like. And I can even use the cold only to dry it straight or curly! Although I find a little heat works best on my curls. I also have to say that in the past if I've dried my hair curly, i have BIG hair for at least the first day. BIG BIG! It was normally day 2 before it looked "decent" and natural. Now i can dry my hair curly and I get amazing new tight natural curl without the poof!!! It looks great all days. It seems to help lock in the style also. Locks in the curls for several days. And it locks in a straight style for a few days also. Definitely helps to reduce the use of my flat iron. When I dry it straight it is almost all straight immediately. I just use my flat iron to smooth a little more and piece together. And my hair is super soft either way!!! It may not be quite salon smooth but it's darn close!! Feels healthier and probably is without the extra heat from dryer and flat iron. I LOVE it! I took a gamble and I won! So if you're looking for something different but don't think higher dollar dryers are worth it, give this a go! I never knew the difference it would make with this mop!!

I needed a hair dryer that was relatively quiet. My old one was so loud that my husband complained about the noise even when he was in a different room with a closed door between us. I bought this one because it is made in Europe where they have standards on the noise from appliances. The description of my old hair dryer actually said "super quiet," that is why I bought it, but it is a US product (made in China, sigh!) so the manufacturer can call anything "super quiet." They could be comparing the product to take off of a jumbo jet! This hair dryer is quiet even at it highest fan setting. It has 2 fan speeds and 3 heat settings one of which is no heat. It also has a cold shot button so you don't have to flip the switch to go from heated air to unheated to set a curl. The big surprise was how nice my hair looks when I use this dryer. My old hair dryer was supposed to produce negative ions as does this one but I did not really notice any positive effects from my previous hair dryer. Perhaps this one just has better air flow and heat settings, I really don't know about negative ions from hair dryers but this one does a really nice job on my hair. I instantly noticed a positive difference when I use this hair dryer. It really is worth the price. It has lots of heat on the highest heat setting and is just right for my hair on the medium setting. The instructions state that this dryer is only for use by professionals which I found strange (some kind of liability protection?) and they tell you not to wrap the cord around the body. I am careful with the cord but think I am reasonably qualified to operate this dryer. I think you will like it if you buy it.

I don't usually write reviews, but since I researched so many dryers and others reviews helped, I though I should return the favor. I spent 150.00 on my last dryer which lasted about 6 yr. I have mid back, to shoulder length thick hair. My hair is very dry so I try to use dryers that will not destroy my hair. Recently my stylist asked what I was using on my hair since it was so dry, I thought it might be from flat ironing but when I told her I was using a 6 yr old Porcelin dryer, she advise I get a new one. As fate would have it, it died 2 wks later. OK here we go, with my old dryer it would take about 25-30 min. to blow it curly, blowing it straight took 35-45 min. I have only dried it curly so far, it only took 10-15 min. with and without the diffuser. I had it on high heat and speed, it did not feel hot or burn my scalp. I felt it did make my hair a bit shiner which is great. I found it to be lighter then my old dryer, not a deal breaker for me but maybe to others. Its on the small size, a little bit bigger then my Vidal Sasson 1875 travel dryer. The handle is nice, it feels contoured to the shape of your hand (I have small hands). Not too loud, has a long round cord. It comes with a nice size diffuser and 3 nozzles s,m,l. On the directions it tells you which is best for the style your looking for. I'm looking at the directions now and there is directions on how to dry your hair and tips. That's cool I've never seen that with other companies. So far I love it! I can't see any reason to not recommend it. I've seen it in Harmons/BB&B for 140.00, with a coupon brings it down 112.00 without tax and and travel. I decided to go with Amazon for 99.95, free shipping which took 6 days. Hope this helps :)

Size and wait is perfect. Open easy to travel with. Dried my hair so fast I couldnt believe it. Love the variety of heat levels.That were super easy to adjust. Has cut my drying time in half. Worth every penny.
