I have owned two of the shades for almost a year now and recently the wind caught one of my shades and damaged the metal rod at the bottom. The seller is going to replace the rod at no cost to me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate them doing this. I love the shades.

We needed something to cover Slider doors during the summer from the outside that would disappear when rolled uo. These are very much what we needed. Reduces the heat penetration while allowing the light to come thru and still able to make out the view. The air flows right thru if kept down at night too. We did not experience too much issue with putting the poles together but we were aware to keep flat and don't force the screw turn to connect. Installation is pretty straightforward but the directions could be more detailed. We just happen to be general contractors and familiar with crappy guides. The tie downs are a nice plus. We added additional hooks at different levels to allow for sun levels along with wind. Overall very pleased with price point and product, especially with so many size options. Only thing we would suggest is black string to go with grey shade, ours came with brown but not a large issue.

Lots to do here. I had to put 2 of these together first one was the lesson 2nd was easier. Directions can confuse you. I think there is a video I didn't realize it until I was done, I suggest you watch it. Wasn't hard to assemble just have to take it slow dont hurry. I used some small washers at the top connection s since the screws provided would not firmly hold down hanger the would cause it to slip out of groove when tightening. Running the string proved to be an ordeal you have alot of feet to pull through then at final stage you will have to sinch it up all over to take out the slack to put the string lock on. After all is said and done they look good and shade the sun out of your eyes.

The blinds themselves are nice. Easy to install and serve the purpose well enough. I ordered two, then another two to spread the expense. Three of the four have metal pulley brackets, the forth is black plastic. A change of material for any component should be disclosed when purchasing multiples of any item. If the aesthetic on an old porch mattered more to me I’d have given this a 2 star review. For future buyers of multiple units open the package and look at the bag with hardware first. Lengthy delivery time on these so I’m keeping them. FedEx also delivered these to the wrong house. Luckily I walked a few houses over to see them on another porch.

If there was a negative score I would give them -5 stars. The product is unsafe to sue arounf children there are so many chocking hazards its not even funny. The minute I opened the box I realized what a bad setup this is. I packed it back and never even tried to install it. Now the seller is refusing to take it back and want me to pay for shipping. They blatently misinform the buy buy posting bad information on the web site and once you fall in their trap they play games and refuse to accept the product and the responsibility. I honestly dont know why Amazon lets these bad sellers use their platform . What a shame that this one bad seller tarnishes Amazon reputation.

Had low expectations but was surprised how nice these shades are! They will protect our furniture from the harsh sun and make the patio useful in the afternoon. I just ordered a third one. Here is some of the things we did to make them work.1. We hung it with four Alumahangers since we have an insulated cover. The end pulley we had to screw into the aluminum awning because it needs to be in a fixed position2. I put WD40 on the threads of the rods to make screwing in easier. Lay the rods flat on a table to get them to screw in. Otherwise it will be very hard.3. We actually cut the rods so they would fit in the groove of our awning cover. You just unscrew the end cap, cut the rod pipe with a pipe cutter and put in a drywall anchor and screw back in the endcap. We took 2.5 inches off the rod to make it fit. The shades still lie flat and function normally.4. I have a cable wrapped around the bottom of the post and then I use an S hook to attach the eye screw of the shade to the cable to keep the shade in place.Wish the cleat to tie the cord was not plastic and wish it was larger. I have a lot of cord because my shades are 6'X9'.

This took me 2 hours to assemble and put up only because the instructions for the string were a little hard to understand, when you start you tie go around the side facing out and back up the side facing you then through the pulley to next pulley to outside pulley, make a long loop then back through pulley and down infront of you then up side facing out tieTook a little while to get this working but like the shade
