Pleasantly surprised!
I’m a Dog Groomer and while I should invest in quality tools the idea of spending more than $100 bucks on shears kills me. Especially since I bought expensive shears before and did not care for them. I wanted to try out curved shears since In typically the one in my salon do a lot of scissor work and sculpting and felt like they would help up my game. I decided on these and I was honestly surprised at how much I like them. They’re labeled as thinners but honestly they cut more like chunkers imo. Not as drastic but still a lot more than most thinners do. You have to really work on blending with them or they’ll leave a lot of choppiness so when I first used them I wasnt sure about them but I’d figured out how to work them so they blend perfectly and now I’m just sad I didn’t get them sooner lolThe dog in the pictures I completely hand scissored and 90% of it was with these curved shears. I only used different sears to shape the ears, feet and legs.

Very nice but very sharp
Very sharp which is great but be careful because of the way they are curved the edges are exposed and it’s very easy to cut yourself. I’m a full time groomer and I’m so glad I found these scissors and I use them everyday but there definitely was a learning curve. You can’t just pull the hair out of them when it’s caught because you’ll cut yourself. If you slide your fingers across the top edge you’ll cut yourself. And they do jam together sometimes and you want to get them apart but be careful cuz you will cut yourself. I know I sound like a broken record but I learned this the hard way! But I love using them and how they work on the dog and smoothing out the edges around the face and head. You can use them on the legs too and on doodles and poodles. Now that I know what to do I don’t cut my finger tips nearly as much so I just wanted to warn people.

Good product so far!
I am a groomer (self taught) and have been working with poodle hair specifically for around 10 years plus.So far I've only used this product for one grooming session but it sure made a difference this time around! I was previously working with a small pair of thinning shears that was included in a 3 scissor grooming kit that I also bought off of Amazon...I found that previous pair that I was using to be dull and rather small for larger golden doodle clients that I have been working with lately. These are great for de-bulking and shaping large areas of the face where a beard is typically left longer such as that found on a "teddy bear "cut.I do recommend that you lubricate it before use with clipper oil or clipper lubricating spray as it helps for smoother cutting action. They are nice and sharp as expected of a good product. It is easier to cut yourself with the quicker cutting motion that is applied to the use of any thinning shears.. I managed to cut myself not long after taking the before and after photo 😆.Thus far it has made my job specifically with shaping the hair on the face A LOT easier! The photos depict before and after use of the thinning shears on the dogs face and my finger after I cut it. (Didn't have a band-aid so I had to get creative lol)

Just ok
For the money I shouldn’t be too disappointed but I’ve purchased similarly priced thinners that worked better. Mainly the edge quality and the joint sticks

Definitely worth the money
I really like these shears. They are awesome for blending with the curve. They are just quite stiff to use and my hand tires easily.

Make any dog look good especially doodles
This is from the bottom of my heart honestly working on a doodle snout couldn't be any easier once you get a straight line and you want to hide everything these babies put the magic touch on everything to know why from the brim of the nose to the eyes and cheeks perfect blend definitely recommend!!!

Don’t buy these
Once I opened these, not once could I close them without catching a tooth on the opposite edge. I tried the tool to adjust to no avail. There is a QR code to take you to the absolute, most USELESS “how to adjust” video in Chinese where he opened and closes the scissors once with no adjustments! Ridiculous.
