Is this coffee pot bigger than the 12 cup sold elsewhere?

Yes, it’s the 18 cup model. Be careful with it don’t leave it on the fire much longer than than you have to. I melted the bottom off mine, what a mess. Cup size is a euro espresso size not coffee cup. Side note: makes the best coffee ever!!! Everyone says I make the best coffee!!!!

Gaskets and filters available for the 18 cup Bialetti 1167 Moka pot?

Gaskets and filters are the same as the 12 cup. Only the basket is different and then it's the stem is longer.

Why can't i find the 18-cup version of this on amazon? beginning to really piss me off . . .

Supply chain issues? It’s an unusual size. Bought mine four years ago, $69.. I wanted to buy another, but- “unavailable”.. finally it became available, but priced at $171.. No thanks! I couldn’t find one anywhere. I waited another year and the price dropped. I bought another at $80, but it said “only 1 left”. I think it’s a size they just don’t make often. It’s probably not a big seller. I wish i could find a 48-oz (“24 two-ounce cups” pot). Best of luck
