Western Digital My Book external hard drive 8000 GB Black

I've been using WD My Book and this unit is way much cheaper than market price.

This hard drive works as advertised and is fairly fast, great for my needs.

It is 7.2 TB not 8

I purchased the WD MyBook in mid-2023 with high hopes for reliable storage, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Less than a year into its use, the drive malfunctioned, resulting in the loss of important data that was irrecoverable. This incident left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed, especially considering this is the second WD product to fail me in such a short period.Reading through other customer reviews, it's clear that I'm not alone in facing these issues. Many others have reported similar reliability problems, often stating that the cost of repairs exceeds the price of purchasing a new drive altogether. This cost-effectiveness concern adds insult to injury, as I now find myself in a situation where I've not only lost valuable data but also need to invest in a replacement drive.

Easy to set up, good copy speed, works well

The hard drive is excellent, no back fan, no sound, no overheating, just perfect and the look is awesome
