I’m genuinely glad I ordered this knife. For the price, it’s a decent knife.
I just received this knife today, right on schedule. I thought (probably longer than I should have) quite a bit before ordering it. I’m very glad that I did. The sheath would be horrific to wear as a boot knife, if you wear “hiking” style low top boots. But works great on my desert & jungle boots, of course they’re much higher boots. I will probably wear it as often on my belt. The sheath while awkward for short boots, it wears exceptionally well on a belt, and it’s been my experience, with the paddle style clip it has, it’s equally secure when worn with the paddle inside the waistband sans belt. It holds the the knife really securely at any angle, and yet the draw is still very smooth. The sheath is very robust. I’m guessing it’s made of PA6 glass fiber reinforced plastic. It feels fiber reinforced at any rate. The knife actually pretty nice, especially when you consider the price point. It arrived not dull, but not super sharp either. And it was a quick and easy honing to get it sharper than it needs to be, what with being designed for what it’s designed for. It was / is VERY pointy!! And I feel it would work very well with next to no edge at all. And unlike most lower priced serrated knives, the serrations are very nicely executed, and whickedly sharp! It should make short work out of rope etc. The handle material and surface textures make for a very secure feel in your hand. And I think even if your hand was soaking wet the odds of loosing grip and your hand slipping down to the blade would probably be pretty low. I paid $8 and some change for mine, and I will most likely buy another before it’s all said and done. I wouldn’t feel cheated if I had paid more, but why wait to pay more. Yeah, I’ll order another, I’ll definitely order another. What can I say? I dig this knife. And I honestly think, if it’s the kind of knife you’re comfortable with? You’ll like it too.

Do these two things if you buy it
Let's start with the fact that this knife is $10.99. It's not going to be perfect. I knew that going in, and was ready for that. The knife is a great size, and the handle is firm and feels good in the hand. The knife snaps into the sheath nicely, and there's no worry that it will fall out on its own. Now here are the two things you need to do with this knife before you go out and stab people. #1, sharpen it. Mine came very dull, but I had a feeling it would based on other reviews. It's made with 3Cr13 steel, which is one of the better steels in this price point. It's durable, fairly tough, and can be sharpened fairly easily. I started on a 400 grit stone, then 1000. I spent a long time on the 1000 stone, then finished on a 3000 and 8000. This knife is capable of getting very sharp. The serrations were already very sharp. Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room-- the sheath. It's about the size of an Eames leg brace from WWII. #2, nothing a Dremel can't fix. In the pics you can see where I removed a lot from the sides. Now it's an acceptable size and still does what it's supposed to do. The tension in the "clip" could be a little better, and I'm working on that. But over all, this is an excellent knife for the money, and it's kinda fun altering the sheath to make it better. So, there's my .02¢. Have fun and remember to go for the carotid.

Its not terrible, however
Honestly, i use it as a belt knife myself. I have it inverted (so i draw at a downward angle) and it is exactly waht i need. The only real reason why i did not give it 5 stars is beacuse on the rattle of the knife hitting the palstic sheath. Its not terrible, however, every single step there is an audible rattle.

This knife is good quality, razor sharp
Quality item. As an avid hiker and fisherman, I can tell you that there is always a need for an extra knife. This knife is good quality, razor sharp, and rugged enough for the woods. The knife measurements are overall 7.75 inches (from point of blade to butt of handle); The blade measures 4 inches and the handle 3.75 inches. The blade width is 1 inch at its widest point. The blade is serrated on both sides but the first 1.75 inches (from point of blade) is not serrated, razor sharp grind, edged blade. The remaining blade portion is serrated, again on both sides. No bolster. There is a .5 inch choil where the blade meets the handle, it is fairly thick and this gives a good impression of tang strength. All black blade and handle, looks very good. Good weight and balance. Handle appears to made of a relatively high impact plastic. The grip is good, nice non-slip pattern. PROS: Excellent quality, lots of features, has its own sheath, and great price. Can't beat the price. CONS: People may say the knife is small but again, this is a backup knife AND it is a boot knife, slides right in on side of boot or within the front laces. For its intended purpose it is not a small knife. It is a good, functional size. Also, no bolster is only a problem if you are aggressively using the knife, which of course is not recommended with any knife, even those with bolsters. Overall, I am happy I bought it.

I disliked the "zombie" symbol so I obscured it with a ...
I just received this package in the morning mail and was fairly impressed. I don't know what steel is being used (I am guessing that it is either 3Cr13MoV or 5Cr13MoV Stainless Steel). It sharpens fairly well but I haven't been able to get it "scary sharp". I disliked the "zombie" symbol so I obscured it with a black permanent marker. Since this is a dagger (with serrated edges upon both sides) it has more use than just a smooth-edged dagger. I am hoping that the knife will have more uses than antipersonnel/self-preservation.Time will tell. This knife must have a 3Cr13MoV blade. I can't get the knife to take a very sharp edge. It is primarily a "shank", so I shouldn't expect much. I wish that I could get another knife to fit the sheath because I like it quite a bit. This would be a perfect sheath for a Gerber Guardian or a SOG Mini-Pentagon. If either one would fit, that would be the perfect setup for concealing beneath a sports jacket. The longer I have the thing, the more disappointed I am with it. It is worth 3 stars at most (and I'm being generous). Don;t expect much from this except to be used as a "get off me" stabber, nothing more.
