Bandai Star Wars Model Kit Imperial Star Destroyer
Yet another simple but fun build from Bandai with these mini snap kits. I sprayed mine with a primer, coat of white and then a coat of ghost grey, highlighted some lights on the sides and the sublight engines on the back and it really makes this little model pop with detail. There's already tons of detail all over, and since these are such bulky Imperial Cruisers, you don't really need to apply weathering on fine detailing, the sculpting is detailed plenty enough. I got this for $6, took 3 weeks to get here from Japan, that's just insanely cheap and awesome. I'll definitely have to get a few more of these to have a fleet, Bandai is just killing it with these sets, they're fun and simple and the end result can be extraordinary if you have the tools and patience. This set comes FULLY APPROVED.

Great quality model, would need paint to have any kind of detailing in terms of color.
A bare minimum model, I wasn't surprised at all to find the destroyer came with no decals of any kind. However, the shear amount of detail in the plastic pieces makes up for this with stunning quality. From the engines to the command tower to the underside hanger bay, this ship is as detailed as they come for such a small model. I was beyond impressed when it all came together. Glue is not required to hold the pieces together, but I would recommend it on certain pieces that could easily come loose again if enough pressure is applied. If any serious modelers want to add this ship to their collection, I would recommend the application of paint to get more details, to add in the darker areas of the ship between the dorsal and ventral hull, or inside the hanger bay, and around the large half of the dorsal staggered hull sections. Overall, it is a fantastic quality model for its size, and a fine addition to anyone's collection!

Small but nice.
These are very small kits, but have a lot of detail for their size. Easy to build. Great if you don't have a lot of space to display models. No glue needed. Bandai has several of the smaller sized Star Wars models out now and more to be released in the future. Lots of fun for not much money.

So much packed into such a small package.
The idea of a 4" long Star Destroyer model seems preposterous as the studio filming model was huge and packed with detail. That Bandai, who have truly excelled in their Mecha Collection Line, pulled this tiny little masterpiece off so well is nothing short of astounding. With a careful application of gray wash the details really pop proportionately making for a lovely display piece either up close or even a few feet back. It's a faster build I think than I would have liked, but the true passion in this model is in figuring ways to enhance it with paint without detracting from it. Well worth the cost.

Bad directions, fragile pieces.
Got this one to match the Deathstar one I got which was fairly easy to put together. The directions are trash, and if you disassemble any pieces after putting them in wrong, you’re going to snap a peg and the rest of the ship is a waste. Made it to step 3 before it was no longer suitable for assembly. Pretty disappointed. Improve the assembly directions.

its a pretty good little model
I suppose for the price I paid, its a pretty good little model. However, I feel like the instructions were extremely unclear. Maybe that's just because I'm not experience building models but I accidentally put two pieces on backwards and when I discovered it, I had to try and take pieces off to fix them and almost broke it in the process (did break a tiny little piece off).

Great detail, tiny parts.
Small but great detail, beware small parts. It is a snap together kit but I suggest tiny dabs of liquid cement to hold the parts together. Also note that the instructions are printed on the onside of the top cover. I also used Tamiya Grey Primer to paint it-a very light coat with Dark Ghost Grey (hand brushed on) for details, also Burnt Iron for the engine exhausts.

Detailed, cute little figure
A small kit of the ISD, about 4 inches long with a stand, well detailed and easy to assemble on most parts but I would recommend glue on certain parts of it like the front hull and the 2 shield generator domes. I do wish they made a same scaled one for the Republic's Venator's star destroyers
