OrientMen's Sports Automatic Watch

Terrific watch and great value for the money!
Several years ago I was a huge Seiko fan and eventually learned about Orient - small subsidiary of Seiko that used many of the same internal movements and was another very popular watch manufacturer from Japan. I owned a couple of Orient automatic watches and enjoyed each one but then when the smartwatch came into vogue I quickly sold my automatic watches and picked up a smartwatch. The smartwatch was fun for a time but eventually I felt overwhelmed by all the notifications and my own constant checking of my pulse, oxygen saturation, and steps taken during the day. I passed my smartwatch onto my daughter (who's really into these things) and I began looking for a simple, automatic watch - I just like the time and date functions - I have a smartphone and don't need a watch to do all the same stuff for me.This watch looks amazing. I call it the Denver Broncos theme - the blue and orange just looks so sharp and the face has a finish that sprays the light across the face and is just beautiful. The outside bezel was a little tight at first but now it turns when I need it to (old school countdown timer) and the luminescence at night is good. The watch is automatic - it winds while being worn courtesy of a pendulum in the case that swings around and winds the watch as the wearer moves their arms. Being it is an automatic, it will run either a little fast or a little slow. Mine is a little fast - about 45 seconds per week, so I just unscrew the crown and pull it out once each week and let the time (as determined on my smartphone or at time.gov) catch up and then push in the crown and screw it down.I have not worn it in the shower due to anecdotes I've heard about soap and shampoo weakening the seals (so what about chlorine and salt water???) but if it's anything like the other Orient diver I owned, it will be fine. I even had an Orient Stingray that was 5 Bar water resistant and used to shower in it and it was fine, too - no issues with the soap or shampoo. I just haven't worn this one because then I have to remove it to dry my wrist and the back of the watch so why go to the trouble? The strap is very comfortable and the watch looks good with everything from a long-sleeved dress shirt to a t-shirt and jeans. I really like the quality of the Orient watches, and the fact that Seiko has allowed the company to still be its own entity, separate from Seiko.Orient watches are still more affordable than Seiko but I think they're every bit as good.

Nice watch
Good looking watch, fits good on my 7 1/4 inch wrist. Would recommend to others if their considering purchasing.

My first Orient I just love it!
This watch is just so much better looking in person than in pics. I love the look and feel of it. Bezel has a satisfying click and I use it all the time. Been in the pool and the ocean and feel great wearing it, especially with the screw down crown. So much quality for the price! This is my first automatic / real time piece and it's amazing how much better this is than any fashion watches I've owned. I have a 6.5 or 6.75" wrist so at 44mm it's right at the edge of what I can wear but even if it looks big I think it's great! Plus the lug to lug is 50mm and that's the limit for me I think, and still looks great. I find myself just admiring the shimmer of the blue dial when I'm out walking. Great first time piece, great value!

Orient Kano Mens Watch with Silicone Strap
I was initially excited about getting this Orient Kano because of the nice looking bezel design. However, when I received it, the orange portion on the bezel wasn't as bright an orange as I was hoping, and the case size was too small and the rubber strap was too narrow. I do have a good size wrist at 8 1/4 inches, so its probably a good fit for a guy around 175 lbs. If they design one at 45mm case size with a 21mm or 22mm strap I would be all over it.It us a nice looking wach but just to small for me. The strap had a nice feel to it, date window & size is too small and hard to read. The screw down mechanism and date hacking had a solid feel to it, especially when winding, so very good quality. Bezel movement was very solid & accurate.Even though this watch isn't big enough, it still get 4 stars because it was my fault for buying a watch that I knew was going to be probably to small for my wrist size, but was inticed by the bezel design, there is the Orient Kamasu which fits me better and really is the watch for me in terms of size. So if you are around 150-180 lbs, should be a good fit for you. It really is a nice water sports type watch for swimming snorkeling & sailing. Definitely not a divers watch.

A true beauty
Where to start? Soft strap, long enough for larger wrists. Best bezel action in my collection. Good lume.No negatives.

Fantastic automatic watch
What an amazing watch! The pictures online do not do it justice! A very affordable and beautiful watch. Size is perfect, rubber band is also nice but I prefer a nylon band on it as it looks and feels amazing. Highly recommended for watch enthusiasts and a great piece for anyone’s collection.

Amazing watch, but on the larger side.
This is a really amazing watch. The lume is very good and it is amazingly accurate. My watch is roughly faster 10 seconds a week. And it is definitely a beautiful watch. But it is a 44 mm watch, which is too large for me.
