Q: I am so confused. what size 'barb' do i need for a hose with a 1/2" inner diameter? just figured out how to measure npt, some magic for barbs also?

I have an atv air filter with a 1/4" nipple/barb....does that mean i need a 1/4" ID hose or is it 5/16"?

This has a 3/4" Male Iron Pipe (MIP) threaded end which is 3/4" inside diameter AND a 3/4" hose jag which will fit into a 3/4" inside diameter hose.
