Q: will I be able to put our cable box inside the glass or will it have to be on top?

I have no problem with putting my cable box inside. I also fit my old tape player in there also. I love it and it looks beautiful.

Q: The tv I would like to put on this stand is 45 inches wide. Would this stand be appropriate, or too small?

We have a 46" TV on this stand and it is perfect. We love the look of this stand and was so easy to asemble

Q: Dimensions of the middle behind the glass door? I need width/height/depth. Need to know if my stereo unit will fit. The shelf is removable, right?
