Q: how do you measure for a walking stick

I went to lowes, grabbed a replacement rake handle and used it to walk around. I figured this would put my hand in a natural place! When I was comfortable I measured to the top of my hand. If the stick is to be gripped via a strap. Add 2 inches. If the stick was designed to use with your hand on top don't add the 2 inches.Jerry

Q: Is this a good size for a 2 yr. old?

It'd be on the big side, but I don't think I've ever met a 2 year old who didn't feel like they were using something for a big kid! They'd just have to grab around the stick vs holding the top. If you think they could do that, I don't see why they couldn't use it.

Q: how wide is the diameter of the stick - at least in its widest part?

Ours is slightly tapered, with the top being slightly larger than the bottom. Stick is not circular in cross-section, it is oval. With ~1" being the long axis and 3/4" being the short axis. Makes for a nice fit in child's hand.

Q: how much does the stick weigh? I can only find the shipping weight not the weight of just the stick. Thank you.

It's pretty light. It's great for my 7 year old.
