Q: Will this fit a chicago electric palm sander?

Yes, double check the hole alignment distance tho. The Chicago electric is the one I owned.

I think it does...I have a hyper tough and I just replaced the bearing and now plan to get one of these bases....I am almost 100% sure it´ll fit...will let you know, but for 8.99 it´s worth the try!!!!

looks like the Craftsman 315.277170 has 4 screw holes, so it will probably fit, but the seller states that the holes are 1 1/8" apart, so as long as yours are the same (center to center) distance apart, then it should work.

Q: Did it work for rs290g? the added g is not included in the description.

This worked for some time and then the hooks wore down quick. They might work ok for you, check your measurements of screw placements

Had to modify so it would work with Skil

Needed to use washers to add a spacer so it will work with a Skil sander. Seller didn’t list Skil as a unit it will work with.

fits a skil brand orbital sander with modification

I have a skill brand orbital sander. I let some landscape guys borrow it who clearly know nothing about using an orbital sander. They did one job with it and shredded the edges of the pad because they were sanding the work piece with just the edge of the sanding pad instead of holding the sander flat as it was intended to be used.So I bought this for a replacement because I couldn't find the exact skill replacement. This does not fit a skill sander out of the box. However, I drilled out the middle mounting hole to 1-1/4'' with a drill press and that worked perfectly. Took all of 5 seconds with a hole saw with the center drill bit removed.Just fyi for anyone else reading this
