It does not actually say gluten free, but to my own knowledge I do not believe there is gluten in it. It does say that it contains no magnesium stearate (an undesirable excipient), corn, milk, soy, salt, sugar, wheat, yeast, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I take it to help my stomach digest my food. My stomach is under acid, & I have had blood tests that tell me there is some amount of uric acid build up, which leads to gout (which I do not want to experience!). The HCL helps especially with meats. I've also read that those who have acid reflux are under acid, not over acid, & that they make things get even worse when they take more & more of the antacids like Tums, etc.

I think yes - it is made from beets and is in a vegetable cellulose capsule. However, on some of their other products they say it is vegan right on the label. This label does not say vegan.
