These are cheap, no muss no fuss trays. Fill em up hang then on a branch and the birds will take it from there.They will use the water dish, but it's so small, I just use it as a feeder that doesn't drain.Beware, these types of feeders are open to everyone and you can burn through a lot of birdseed with these.

I knew going in that these would be small and that is fine for what I wanted them for. My experience with plastic is that it will fade and can be harder to clean as they age, but for now these are working great. I wanted one for feeding dried mealworms and it is perfect. The colander style keeps rain from pooling on the food. (Of course the bluebirds and mockingbirds haven't let the stuff stay in it that long!) The smaller solid bottom one I have planned for a DYI hummingbird feeder (it will hold water to keep out ants while allowing me to hang the feeder for easier viewing. These are much better quality that what you'd find at a dollar store, but not nearly as expensive as you'd find at a garden center or big box store. Even if they lasted one season (which I'm sure I'll get longer use) I'd be happy. The birds sure are!

This is a very nice feeder, and I have found that the snowbirds, Juncos, really like it. They don't like to be around the hustle and bustle at the larger feeders and they like this small feeder. I hang it close to the ground and they like that also since they prefer eating on the ground.

Easy to put up.. easy to clean. Would recommend
