Super cute!
We purchased the use as a craft for our annual Thanksgiving event. They turned out great!Measurements are in centimeters, so be prepared for a little bit of math. I would recommend cutting the paper strap to 2 centimeters all the way across the paper provided, and just doubling it back on itself. Cutting the paper to 15 cm left part of the paper hat ring with only one thin piece of card stock and it was hard to macramé the knots around it without tearing the paper. Doubling up the card stock all the way around the hat ring, insured that the knots were tight, and the hat was perfectly square. (That will be clear when you’re reading the instructions!)The kit came with everything needed! Scissors, measuring tape, all the goodies to make the gnomes, and high-quality yarn. This may have been one of the most complete craft kits I’ve ever seen! The only thing we needed to grab was the glue stick to assemble the paper hat ring.We were experienced crafters and so it was easy for us to navigate the learning curve on the first gnome, but after that, it was super easy and I would recommend this for any young crafter that’s capable of following directions. (It’s primarily looping a piece of string through itself and making sure you go the same direction every time - then it’s a steady hand for cutting the gnome hair) Easy peasy!

Love this, needs better instructions
I was able to make this work but the instructions are not great. The order of this instructions is not the best and makes it harder. After I got the first one together, the rest became much easier by switching the order a little bit.Great little project though.

Easy and cute
Includes everything you need. Only 4 stars because making the ring for the hat out of paper is not the best - quite flimsy. I ended up cutting up a cardboard tube to make my hat ring. Instructions are decent.

Great kit, easy ornaments to make
These came out really great. I had watched some youtube videos where people had made similar items, so the provided instructions were fine for me. It was very clear what the embroidery floss was for (to attach the nose bead and to make the loop hanger.) I had enough yarn to complete all six ornaments, and they were a big hit with all the people that I gifted them too. I felt that the quality of the items provided was great, and the box also nice. I would buy the kit again, but I am interested in trying other ornaments for next year.

Cute but Confusing and Incomplete
These are 5-star adorable and easy to make, but the instructions are incomplete. It's not hard to figure out the missing bits, though. There's enough colored cord for six hats, but not enough ecru cord for all 6 beards. I had to substitute cotton yarn, which is thinner, but it worked. The original cord is pictured on the left and the cotton yarn version is on the right. Some tips: (1) Don't bother to figure out the purpose of the embroidery floss; there is none. (2) The comb is useless for separating strands for the beard; use a plastic tapestry needle or similar pick to pull apart the strands and then finish off with the comb.

Super cute set
Nice set as it contained everything needed in a nice little box with clear instructions. It's enough to make you feel like you did something without all the running around and preparation to get everything in order.
