We were having problems with our cats dropping a piece of their dry food on the ground which attracted ants Then the ants would get in the bowl. This product has eliminated both problems. Now if they drop food it goes in the moat and we haven’t seen a single ant.

Best purchase ever! We had a problem with ants going in the cats food and this actually keeps bugs out of her food. And if I use my Roomba and forget to move the food, it doesnt make a mess. The Roomba sees it as an obstruction and works around them.

I bought these to use feeding stray cats. I have not seen any ants in the food yet.

I am so excited with these! I was using a small bowl within a larger bowl and although effective for keeping the ants out, the cats weren't too overjoyed about a floating bowl.When I found these I was overjoyed. I thought they might be too small but they hold more than you would expect.These are for outside cats so I have to take them in at night. I don't mind so much filling the ledge with water but the annoying part is trying to dump it out without dumping the cat food out. But I'll deal with it!

The bowls work if you keep the moat full and free of food.They are not maintenance free.The reviewers who complained and had photos of bowls with dry and dirty moats do not understand how the bowls work.

Work really well. Bowls have kept the ants away from our chiweenie's dry food. Tip- add water to the ring after placing on your floor. This will avoid spillage.

These are a good size, so cats can get their whiskers comfortable in the bowl as they eat. Absolutely no ants get in the bowl. Just add dish soap in the water in the moat.
