I havent used this in the real world yet but will be soon. However my preliminary tests have shown it picks up what is needed so im happy to trust it when installing bolts or new channels for cables!

great accuracy, light to hold and so easy to use press button slide across where you want to drill and it indicates if there is a pipe, cable or a stud safe drilling.

Ordered a new item, received someone else's faulty or not suitable for use product. Very disappointed with Amazon, will now have to think twice before buying anything from them again. This item had clearly been used and sent back, lots of scratches and wear marks, also should have included a battery. I haven't tested the unit but suspect it will be going straight back. In fairness Amazon had discounted the item but didn't say why, there was nothing to to say it was a previous customers reject.

The device needs calibrating presumably on a blank bit of wall, the instructions don’t say, but it just alerts almost continuously. I needed it for electric cranked but it just goes off repeatedly on anything at all. Basically useless for any purpose.

I'm please with jow simple and accurate this stud finder is. Just read the little leaflet what comes with it, and move it slow across the wall.

overall good piece of kit

We live in a new build so can’t drill the walls without checking for studs and live wires. My partner thinks this is great and does the job, but can be a bit difficult to read. Overall, it’s a great device.
