How are we supposed to wash this thing. The tag says hand wash and not to put in the dryer so idk what to do?

i have had not any issues washing it and drying it regularly.

Does this come in a plastic bag to keep it clean prior to shipment?

Mine was in a plastic bag inside of a box. It came super clean.
