I had an electrostatic air filter many years ago but it had a plastic frame that eventually fell apart. When I moved and the HVAC intake vent was a different size, I stuck with fibrous filters for a couple years. However, the dust still blown into the rooms is a hassle but I didn't want a higher MERV rating that impeded air flow further (more strain on HVAC unit). I figured I'd try this filter and since it has an aluminum frame it will probably hold up better than my old one in the past. It arrived in good condition (no dents or misshapen) and looks great. After installing easily and quickly, I ran the heater and could feel the difference in airflow - much greater than before. The dust level is less than HALF of what I was getting daily when the heater would run. There's no rattling, no noise at all - it just works. So far I'm very pleased - if there's any change I'll update the review. Great value!

I like it. I does fit loose with a little gap on all sides. I hear a slight click when the blower comes on and air gets sucked into the intake. I am fine with that.
