Big Joe Bean Refill, Polystyrene Beans for Bean Bags or Crafts, 200 Liters, White

I have a FatBoy that is almost 20 years old and had found its way in to storage 8 years ago because it was significantly flat. At $200 plus I didn’t want to simply throw it away. We pulled it down from storage and I thought why not try. We refilled it with this and she’s back to her full hot pink glory-granted my now 60 year old butt struggles to get up, but I can’t resist as it’s sooooo comfortable

The name brand, exact filling for the Big Joe bean bag chairs. Definitely a two person job for refilling. Someone to hold open the bean bag and another to pour these styrofoam little balls. They are very static-y and love to go off in a group, like little ants. Be sure to open the refill bag where and how much it says to, so you don't lose filling all over the place. Refilled 2 chairs and have some left over.

Super lightweight and exactly what I needed to fill my footstool. The beans definitely come out very fast and seemingly have a mind of their own if not controlled. Slow and meticulous is important when pouring them into whatever you are stuffing. I lined my footstool first with a large lightweight trash bag And kind of used it like a funnel and poured small amounts in at a time to keep it controlled and clean. Refer to my photos. I think they’ll work fine for my 2 bean bag chairs, but there’s no getting around the mess you’ll have to clean up. I duct taped the bag to a pvc pipe and duct taped the other end to the bean bag opening. I got about 95% of the bag into my bean bag chair. The other 5% ended up on my garage floor. When you get to the end of the bag it’s pretty tough to get the rest of the beans out. They just stick to the bag. All in all I’m pretty happy. Just ordered another 100 liter bag cuz I was a little short.

Great filler, a pain to cross load into bean bags when you have a 2 & 3 year old. All they wanted to do was jump on the beanbags as they were being filled! The smaller balls do have a tendency to creep their way out of any gap in the zipper. Over all they are comfy and give the bags a solid full look!

This big joe refill package IS AMAZING!!! Huge refill bag for hardly any money!! This is fantastic... probably going to be able to refill this chair more than 1 time with this refill package!!

It takes a lot of these to refill a bean bag. I bought a huge bag to refill my Big Joe, to “fluff” it back up and didn’t have enough. I’ve since gone to memory foam to help as a filler (less mess). Neither are good for the environment. The beads are crazy static and go everywhere! I cut a tiny hole and taped a paper towel roll in the opening like a funnel. Those beads would literally fly out because of the static electricity so I had to clip the end of the funnel closed and unclip the funnel once the funnel was securely in the bean bag just to pour the beads into it. It was a pain to fill up and recommend getting help. So fill or refill your item in the kitchen or place with no carpet. Don’t do it outside or animals//birds might try to eat the beads. I also filled an ottoman but wish I hadn’t used these because it makes so much noise. It isn’t a bad filler! Just be prepared for the extreme static electricity and expect to make a mess if you don’t prep well!

This is a great way to fill up our kid's bean bag...just know that this is a two-person job! Those little styrofoam balls like to go everywhere and statically cling to everything. One person hold the bean bag and direct the flow, the other person hold the replacement bag to help guide them in. It has brought new life to their chairs and keeps it nice and comfortable for them. Just be prepared to go chasing down a few rogue balls!
