Sturdy and does whatever job your probably trying to use it for

I was excited to come across this Ulanzi product while shopping for an affordable smartphone video rig. I've not yet tested the mounts thoroughly, but assuming they are all fairly accurate, that shouldn't impact my review or rating. For the price, this is a great value for anyone shooting video with their smartphone and/or using their smartphone as a video camera for videoconferencing (I wirelessly connect my phone to my computer and use it as a webcam for Zoom calls). It has four 1/4" - 20 mounts - two on the top, one of the bottom (centered) and one on the side (centered). The centered mounts allow this to be mounted on a tripod horizontally or vertically. There are also three cold shoe mounts on the top. All of these provide a wealth of connection options for lights, mics, and/or another small camera. The spring-loaded phone mount is made of a nice, grippy rubber that holds your phone securely without scratches.Shortcomings:* Apart from the 1/4"-20 mounts, it is all plastic. This certainly keeps the cost low, but I'd far prefer aluminum for better durability.* The phone mount is challenging to use for larger phones. It fits my Note 9 with slim case, but it's a challenge, and I wonder how well the spring will hold up. There is a tightening mechanism on the back of the mount to further secure your phone. It seems rather useless, but should the spring fail, then this might be a great backup for keeping the phone secure.* Some rubber or foam on the side handles would give this a more premium feel & look and offer a better grip.* I wish they had incorporated a cold shoe mount on one of the side handles (opposite the side that has the centered 1/4"-20 for using your phone vertically).My only real issue with this Ulanzi rig is the cheap build quality and resulting durability. That said, it is light, has lots of mounting options, is comfortable enough in the hand, and seems very worth the $20 price tag for anyone looking for a product like this. For overall value, I would rate it 5 stars, and I would happily recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap but reliable rig.

Great rig lightweight but durable… Used with my I phone 13 pro max holds firm once adjusted . well worth the money ….

Love this thing so far. It's plastic, but it's made fairly sturdy. I wouldn't go dropping it all over the place, but it's solid for the price. The spring loaded clamp on it is super sturdy and your phone is going to stay in it through 90% of situations. I have a Pixel 2 XL, it's huge and it fits in the clamps snugly. Love the hot shoes and the threaded holes across the top. It's one of the only things I've found that has mounts for lights/external mics.The bottom is flat and smooth so if you aren't mounting it to a tripod, you can sit it flat on a table and it will not knock over (for the most part). It's not super wide and has no kickstand, but if it's just sitting there it won't fall over.The image on my review is the Ulanzi U Rig with a directional microphone (with a wind muff on it) and a 96 LED light mounted on an Amazon Basics tripod. Solid setup for very little money.

I love this U Rige Pro. You can mount an external light and external microphone you can mount your GoPro on it your phone you can use it as a stabilizer this is really a great product

Use it to run and gun when shooting video that has to be semi-stabilized. If you do short takes and edit, you don't need a gimbal. Nice that you can plant it on a tripod either vertically or horizontally, and spot to lock in a small light or mic are useful.

The manufacturer should have said that this is only for iPhones, not for Samsung. Because of the position of the mid-side button, the clamp cannot hold it downs by being over it. This causes the need to slide the phone to the left to avoid this clamp contact with the button, which in turn does not allow enough room for fingers to hold the device. If this was for tripod use only, OK - but not for holding with a Samsung. This should have been noted in description.
