Q: How many coats of base and how many coats of too coat are you supposed to use if you are touching up bare metal? I have a 2014 f150 ug paint

Paint worked well on our new Flex. Had a small spot on the hood where the paint chipped off showing the metal. After trial and error (and wiping off the paint a few times), I had success with putting on two coats of base and then two coats of the frost. It's a pretty good match for the white platinum factory paint. Good luck! PS. Is your name really Calimari?

You need the base coat and the top coat. The base coat is the white, the top coat gives it that pearly sheen.
