Q: Why doesn't the light come on without usb charging? why can't you press the switch?

This was my experience when I first received the nightlight. I pressed on the lever and that turns on the light. The USB is for charging and you should not need it to have the light come on. I charged mine for a couple of hours and it's worked just fine. If you hold the lever down it dims the light or makes it bright. I hope this helps if it does not you should contact the seller for assistance.

Q: How do you turn on the 15 min timer? I see some reviews saying there's a timer on this toast light.

You double tap the lever on the side . It will let you know it’s on the 15 min timer , when it flashes at you .

Q: Is the voltage of this lamp compatible with European wattage?

I don’t know but it’s a USB plug not an outlet plug. Hopefully someone else knows and can answer for you. It’s worth getting. :)
