New Favorite!!
Absolute new favorite strainer. I like full bodied teas, way more than the tiny circular ones can hold. And I love the lid it comes with!! It’s fits on every tea cup I own. I’ve used this almost everyday I’ve had it now going on almost two months. Super easy to clean and very good value for the money. It’s also a little heavy. I was surprised when I got the box how heavy it was. Now I know that’s because the quality was high. No leakage of tiny particles or dust. I can get a lot more flavor out of this than the tiny ones I had. It’s a little more than I tend to spend on strainers but worth the little extra. I know it’s not going to bend or get dented.

Most practical tea strainer
I've been using this tea strainer for over 5 years. It's excellent, and I own two and have gifted three to others. It fits my smallest 7oz mug up to my 24oz teapot. In the photos, there's the new one next to the old one. The old one works great, the new one is a gift. It can be shined up again with a melamine sponge if stained, but works the same either way.I used a rooibos blend to show just how tiny of particles this strainer can handle. As a tea specialist who has hosted many tastings and tried all kinds of teas and gadgets, I believe this is the most practical and functional strainer you will ever get your hands on.Touch points are brilliant, I'm not afraid of my mother burning herself making tea. Lid/drip stand is very useful. Literally bought two because my husband kept stealing it, even though we have other strainers and tea bags.It allows plenty of room for the tea to fully expand, and tastes great. Doesn't taste metallic or anything. The short of it: if you want a practical, reusable, easy way to brew tea, buy this strainer.

100% worth the money - clever product!
I noticed a review that pointed out the "plastic" on this - but it's actually food-grade silicone, it does NOT come into contact with your drink and is a genius addition! The silicone keeps the strainer in place on your cup, and once brewed, you place your fingers under the silicone pads to avoid a hot touch. Same with the cap - it creates a nice seal while tea brews, and inverted, is a little dish to place the leaves in. I've had zero bits of tea leaking out and always a full-bodied brew. I also use for teechino, and black/green/white and fruit teas. I wash this out with only water promptly or just after drinking my tea, I wouldn't recommend a brush or detergent. Honestly I think I drink more tea because this is such a pleasure to use!

Excellent quality and functionality
I'm really glad I spent a little more to purchase this highly recommended infuser basket. I nearly purchased one of the cheaper models, but then read how this OXO has a rubberized coating on the underside of the wings. Such a simple, yet masterful inclusion. The rest of the infuser is similarly well designed - good weight, quality metal, good lid, nice depth, ideal hole pattern, etc.

Versatile & ergonomic
Product: OXO Tea Infuser BasketRating 4/5 (exellent)OXO is known for good quality, ergonomic and reasonably priced kitchen tools, and this tea infuser fits nicely within that paradigm.Likes:+ Tabs: They're wide enough to fit both medium and large mugs, as well as old fashioned ceramic tea pots of varying sizes.+ Roomy: Its wide enough and deep enough to work well with a wide variety of sizes of mugs and teapots. I bought this for use with a 3 pt ceramic teapot (mostly for Assam, Gunpowder and Puer'h), but it also works fine in 12 and 16 oz mugs, and as long as the liquid level stays below the level of the tabs, it even works in a saucier pan for infusing broths and sauces.+ Strainer: the perforations in the stainless steel basket are fine enough to handle not just loose tea, but tea fannings as wellDislikes:+ Perforations: Most tea aficianados tend to prefer whole leaf tea (either loose, rolled ala gunpowder or compressed ala puer'h) over that of fannings (tea dust, which is why tea bags exist), but it's nice to have a strainer that's fine enough to handle both. The only drawback of I an extra fine strainer is that it reduces infusion efficienctly somewhat, because your hot water doesnt convect as freely as it could through the walls of the basket. As a result, ive found it best to periodically 'tea bag' the basket up & down a few times, in order to get optimal extraction, esp when infusing in larger teapots.+ Lid: The lid can be inverted to double as a tea caddy, which is nice, but I wish there was a way to lock it in place, and perhaps attach a dunking chain, so that it could be fully submerged in larger vessels.Verdict: A solid value.

Great Tea Infuser
The OXO Brew Tea Infuser Basket makes brewing loose-leaf tea so much easier. The design is sleek and fits perfectly in my mug, allowing the tea to fully expand and release all its flavors. The fine mesh ensures that no leaves escape, giving me a smooth and clean cup every time.I also love that it’s easy to clean—just a quick rinse and it’s good to go for the next brew. The handle stays cool even when the basket is submerged in hot water, making it safe and comfortable to use. It’s a great quality product and has really elevated my tea-drinking experience.

Worth the money!
I have used tea balls or the egg shaped strainers before. They simply do not compare to this one. A simply elegant design that works perfectly. Room for leaves to expand, fine holes to keep leaves inside, a built in drip container. Easy to clean. Easy to use. There are far more interesting teas offered as loose leaf rather than the sachet bag.Far nicer than cheaper alternatives. Worth the money!
