Hi. Anyone know how this differs from the sauce mix/curry bricks from the same brand? Same flavor? Does this powder have MSG?

Hi DJ, I used to make Japanese curries with S&B curry bricks. Now I make them with this, because I am gluten intolerant, and the bricks have gluten. The flavour is very similar. This powder is fairly spicy, perhaps a bit hotter than the medium level of curry bricks. The ingredients are as listed on this site; it does not contain MSG.

My containers cooking instructions are in Japanese, does anyone have the instruction in English ?

I made a roux and then added this curry powder to the roux, cooked it a bit with the roux until you can smell the strong aromas. Then I added the broth of the stew of whatever I was making to the roux to gradually dissolve all of it in the broth.

Does anyone know if there is a "mild" version of this? I love the flavor, but it's too spicy for my littles.

I am wondering if you received the one that's in the canister that is fully red instead of the yellow and red one. The fully red version is spicy.
